Summer’s not over by a long shot—at least not in Vancouver! We’ve still got some stunning late sunsets ahead of us, PNE’s Summer Night Concerts, and a first-ever Spaghetti Disco. So don’t let a couple of drizzly days in the forecast keep you locked inside; here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (Aug. 21-23).

The PNE Fair is returning this summer with a jam-packed schedule of fun from Aug. 22 to Sept. 7, including tons of cool artists during their Summer Night Concerts under the Freedom Mobile Arch. Whether it’s for some classic fair food, a night of music under the stars, or to see the Wizard of Oz on Ice, you’re guaranteed a memorable time.

When: Aug. 22 to Sept. 7, 2026 (no concerts on Aug. 24 and 31)
Time: Noon to 8 p.m.
Where: 2901 East Hastings St.
Cost: $49+ including fair admission and concert tickets

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to salsa but feel a little intimidated by an indoor class environment, now is your chance to get on your feet and learn in the great outdoors. The second-ever Vancouver Outdoor Salsa Fest is open to all ages and dance levels, including beginners who have never taken a class!

When: Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026
Time: Noon to 8 p.m.
Where: Hastings Mill Park – 1575 Alma St.
Cost: Free

The first-ever Spaghetti Disco is coming up on Aug. 22, and there are still tickets left for this lively celebration of Italian pasta and wine. Inspired by Italy’s famous Ferragosto Festival, the open-air disco will feature exclusive pasta dishes, Italian wine, Italian Disco, and Euro House anthems. In a nutshell: a memorable night filled with great food and drink, and dancing.

When: Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026
Time: 2 to 8 p.m.
Where: Grandview Park – 1657 Charles St.
Cost: $95 per person (includes two glasses of wine and four pasta tickets)

Salmon Sessions Music Festival is now in its fourth year in South Surrey, and features a full day of live music, local food and drinks, artisan vendors, and community. Wailin’ Walker Band, Generous Thieves, Westwood Theory, Rowan, Three Nines Fine, and more will take centre stage at this family-friendly festival, which supports local salmon conservation efforts through the Little Campbell Hatchery.

When: Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026
Time: 3 to 8 p.m.
Where: 1284 184 St., Surrey
Cost: $25 for GA

This weekend is your last chance to see two beloved musicals under the stars at the Malkin Bowl: Sister Act and Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

The beloved Shipyards Night Market is back every Friday until September, providing the perfect opportunity to hit some patios or breweries after work, enjoy some live music, and snag some food truck eats at Shipbuilders Square.

When: Every Friday until Sept. 12, 2025
Time: 3 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Shipyards, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

The iconic Shakespeare comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor is kicking off this year’s Bard on the Beach program, set in the community athletic centre of a (fictional) Vancouver suburb that happens to be obsessed with soccer. There are also a handful of other Shakespeare-inspired productions to keep an eye out for if you’re ready to check out what’s onstage next: Macbeth (now until Sept. 18), Goblin:Oedipus (now until Sept. 19), and Antigone (now until Sept. 18).

When: Shows throughout July, August, and September
Time: Showtimes at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

Cost: $30 to $103 per person, depending on seating

The Vancouver Maritime Museum has officially partnered with Vancouver by Sea to launch a new, immersive sailing experience that explores Vancouver’s fascinating maritime past and present, and the views alone are well worth it. The museum-to-yacht experience begins this Thursday, June 11.

When: Select Thursdays and Sundays in June, July, August, and September, starting June 11, 2026
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: The yacht departs from Vancouver Maritime Museum — 1905 Ogden Ave., Vancouver
Cost: $1,099 per group (up to eight passengers)

The zipline is back, the less-than-$10 happy hour items are back, and tons of exciting new attractions await at this year’s Richmond Night Market.

When: Opened Friday, April 24, 2026; operates Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Time: 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 11 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 8351 River Rd., Richmond
Cost: $7 for GA

Fans can dive into how both early adjustments and more recent innovations have changed the way we experience professional soccer. This Science World exhibition also highlights the host nations of the FIFA World Cup 2026, with objects connected to Canada’s recent international football history on display.
