THIS Gallery has a new exhibit by visual artist Carrie Walker called Stick Drawings, an exploration of time, impulse, and the surprising meanings that emerge when we focus on meticulous details. Her work shifts attention to something seemingly inanimate: a stick, but in her detailed drawings, each stick becomes “a miniature landscape” of imprints of insects, weather, decay, and time.

When: Opening reception on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026
Time: Noon to 4 p.m.
Where: 108 East Broadway (alley entrance)
