Get ready for a full weekend ahead, Vancouver! We’ve got the return of Vancouver’s largest cultural street festival, a Cirque du Soleil show on ice, Spot Prawn Day in Steveston, and much more. Here are 10 of the best things to do in Vancouver this weekend, June 6 to 8.

Italian Day on the Drive is Vancouver’s largest cultural street festival, transforming all 14 blocks of Commercial Drive into a lively celebration with fresh gelato and cannolis, patio sips, and plenty of pizza and pasta to go around.

Cost: Free admission

You have a couple of days to check out CRYSTAL by Cirque du Soleil, their first-ever ice show that’s taking its final bow in Vancouver until Sunday, June 8, 2025. With jaw-dropping acrobatics, memorable characters, and an inspiring soundtrack, CRYSTAL is a dazzling performance that you won’t want to miss.

When: Wednesday, June 4, 2025 to Sunday, June 8, 2025
Where: Pacific Coliseum – 100 N Renfrew St.
Cost: $45 to $74

It’s the biggest day of the annual Spot Prawn & Seafood Celebration – Spot Prawn Day, which will feature a range of all-ages activities from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, between Steveston’s Fisherman’s Wharf and The Gulf of Georgia Cannery. This includes a culinary stage, live music, and a Sustainability Expo.

From noon to 7 p.m., a pop-up thrift sale with all proceeds going to Fresh Roots is coming to Container Brewing. Hosted by Fits the Bill, the thrift sale will feature quality women’s and men’s clothing from a range of top brands, including Lululemon, Aritzia, Patagonia, and more.

This weekend, the Whitecaps are up against the Seattle Sounders, so don your blue and white and get ready to cheer them on at BC Place.

This day-long celebration of weirdness, art, and community will bring together the work of over 30 local artists, all of whom have participated in past Weirdos Holiday Markets held every December. This weekend, you can peruse tons of unusual, creative pieces and uncommon treasures, including ritual candles, mounted insects, whimsical jewelry, and much more.

The market will be held from noon to 7 p.m. at the Birdhouse, where shoppers can enjoy games like giant Jenga and Connect Four, along with old-school video games.

Cost: $2 admission before 2 p.m., $5 admission after

The Vancouver Art Gallery offers free admission to the public on the first Friday of every month, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The next free Friday night will be on June 6, 2025, allowing museum-goers free rein to explore the many new exhibits.

Get ready for some classic summertime fun at Playland, which has over 30 rides and attractions to check out every weekend until June 27, 2025.

The beloved Richmond Night Market is in its 25th year, complete with hundreds of international street food booths, local retail vendors, and a first-of-its-kind zipline.

There’s still time to check out the Improv Centre’s comedy show, The Bachelorish, which features one lucky improviser looking for love, based on the hit reality show, The Bachelor.
