The weekend has nearly arrived, as has the start of a new month — ushering in the transition from spring to summer! From tasting rare brews to hopping to a couple of night markets, to celebrating National Indigenous History Month, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (May 30-June 1).

The beloved Richmond Night Market is in its 25th year, complete with hundreds of international street food booths, local retail vendors, and a first-of-its-kind zipline.

When: Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays this June

Cost: $7 for GA

Darby’s Public House is hosting a one-of-a-kind beer tasting experience this weekend featuring limited brews from some of B.C.’s best local breweries.

When: Saturday, May 31, 2025
Where: 2001 Macdonald St.
Cost: $86.53

The Vancouver Whitecaps FC will host a Final Watch Party on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in front of the outdoor big screen on Terry Fox Plaza at BC Place. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., with the kick set for 6 p.m.

Cost: $5 minimum donation

The Museum of North Vancouver is hosting a day of storytelling, crafts, and language learning, where museum-goers can learn about the vibrant history and culture of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ Nations.

Singer-songwriter Coco Jones is bringing her Why Not More? Tour to Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre on Friday, May 30, 2025.

Get ready for some classic summertime fun at Playland, which has over 30 rides and attractions to check out every weekend until June 27, 2025.

Cheer on the Vancouver Canadians at the Nat all weekend long as they face off against the Hillsboro Hops.

Looking for something fun to bring the whole family to this weekend? This year’s Vancouver International Children’s Festival is in its final days on Granville Island, hosting performances from around the world for kids and families of all ages, from puppetry and circus acts to theatre, music, dance, and much more.

When: Now until June 1, 2025
Where: Locations around Granville Island
Cost: $13.50 per child and $23 per adult, per show

This free public market has a licensed patio and has transformed customized shipping containers into an array of rotating pop-ups, vendors, and live entertainment space. Junction Public Market will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday starting May 1, 2025.

When: Open from Tuesday to Sunday
Where: 200 Granville St.
Cost: Free admission

It’s your last chance to check out the Improv Centre’s new comedy show, The Bachelorish, which features one lucky improviser looking for love.
