Get ready for a full weekend of fun, Vancouver. There’s The Great Outdoors Comedy Fest, another Car Free Day, and Bike the Night all heading to our city over the next couple of days, so don’t miss out. Catch a comedy show, peruse some local vendors, and soak up what remains of summer while you can. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (Sept. 12-14).

This weekend marks an incredible lineup of comedic talent at Stanley Park’s Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, which hosts local and international comics who will have you hooting and hollering no matter what your sense of humour is. This year, performing comedians include Bert Kreischer and Whitney Cummings on Friday, Sept. 12, John Mulaney and Nick Kroll on Saturday, Sept. 13, and Trailer Park Boys and Jeremy Piven on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Where: Stanley Park 
Cost: $69+ for GA

Bike the Night is back for a leisurely 10 km ride along the seawall (and new Granville Connector), starting with a fun celebration at David Lam Park. Here, visitors can enjoy live music, free bike maintenance, snacks, bike decorating, light giveaways, and more.

When: Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025
Time: 5 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: 1300 Pacific Blvd.
Cost: By donation

The next street transforming into a pedestrian haven for Car Free Day is Main Street this weekend, where guests will find live music and entertainment all day long, in addition to tasty food trucks and vendors, local artisans, and family-friendly activities and games.

When: Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025
Time: Noon to 7 p.m.
Where: Main Street, from East 10th to East 30th Avenue
Cost: Free admission

Kick off your weekend with a concert you won’t soon forget. Canadian rock legend Bryan Adams is taking the stage with his Roll with the Punches Tour, along with special guest The Sheepdog.

When: Friday, Sept. 12, 2025
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 800 Griffiths Way

The Whitecaps are up against the Philadelphia Union at BC Place this week, so get ready for an exciting night out on the town coupled with thrilling gameplay and crowd energy.

Cost: $41.78

Metro Vancouver’s largest three-day music fest (Barnside Brewing Harvest Festival) features headliners Walk Off the Earth, Arkells, The Dead South and many more, in addition to an artisan market, family zone, and plenty of craft beverages and food trucks. What better way to kick off your weekend of fun?

When: Friday, Sept. 12 to Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025

Broadway Across Canada has officially brought The Lion King production to Vancouver, and you don’t want to miss out on the incredible artistry, from the costumes to the unforgettable music. The Tony Award-winning musical features some of Broadway’s most recognizable songs and choreography, and now is your chance to see it all come to life onstage in Vancouver.

This independent local arts festival has been a staple in the city since 1985, fostering a community of emerging performing artists that tours across North America. This year’s festival features 87 live theatre, comedy, drag, and music performances.

Looking for a spot to unwind at or connect with a friend between shows? Head to the Fringe Bar, where you’ll find refreshments and nightly food trucks on a covered patio, as well as some of your fave local performers.

The 2025 Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is in full swing, and you can check out one of four iconic productions: Much Ado About Nothing, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again], and The Dark Lady.

The Shipyards Night Market is on until Sept. 12, so it’s not too late to kick back on a Friday for some classic summer fun at the Shipyards. Hit up some patios or breweries after work, enjoy some live music, and snag some food truck eats at Shipbuilders Square.
