It’s the last few days of the month, which means fall festivities are on the horizon. This weekend, you can hit up Port Day celebrations, indulge in the annual Meat and Cheese Fest, or visit VanDusen for the first Harvest Days of the season. Here are 10 of the best things to do in Vancouver this weekend (Sept. 26-28).

Harvest Days is a time-honoured tradition in Vancouver that transforms VanDusen’s 55 acres into a celebration of autumn’s bounty, complete with fall decor, pumpkins, sweet treats, and live music, and it all kicks off this weekend!

When: Weekends from Sept. 27 to Oct. 19, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 5251 Oak St. 
Cost: $12.59 to $15.05 per adult, $6.29 to $$10.55 per child

There are three tasting sessions at this year’s Cheese and Meat Festival at the Pipe Shop in North Vancouver, where over 150+ delicious food and beverage pairings await. Tickets are all-inclusive, meaning you can taste, learn, and connect with as many artisanal vendors as you want! Graze away, and maybe even take home a couple of bottles or bites.

Time: Noon to 8 p.m.
Where: 115 Victory Way, North Vancouver
Cost: $83.72

Following a sold-out world premiere in January 2024 at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre, Touchstone Theatre presents Women of the Fur Trade, which has its first Western Canadian stop in Vancouver on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025. Written by Frances Končan and directed by Renae Morriseau, the project is a lively historical satire of survival and cultural inheritance through the lens of the Canadian fur trade.

When: Until Oct. 4, 2025
Time: Showtimes at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.

Emmy-winning stand-up comic, writer, and actress Wanda Sykes is Vancouver-bound, and she’ll be performing her Please & Thank You Tour alongside special Guest Keith Robinson on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

When: Friday, Sept. 26, 2025
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 630 Hamilton St.

Port Day is returning to Canada Place on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, from noon to 5 p.m., and it’s shaping up to be boatloads of fun. Every year, the festivities shine a light on the maritime community with live music, on-water marine demos, exhibitor booths, and more.

When: Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025
Where: 999 Canada Place
Time: Noon to 5 p.m.
Cost: Free admission

Founded in 1997, AFC is the world’s leading artist group supporting the environment, comprising hundreds of the most gifted nature artists from across the globe. This week, the group is bringing their world-class art exhibit to VanDusen, where you’ll be able to enjoy nature-themed paintings and sculptures included in your garden admission.

When: Thursday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 5251 Oak St. 
Cost: $15.05 per adult for garden admission

Another game, anyone? The BC Lions are up against the Toronto Argonauts at BC Place this Friday, and die-hard football fans won’t want to miss it.

NDN Giver is the solo debut of the Bill Reid Gallery’s Assistant Curator, Amelia Rea of the Haida Nation. The collection of works explores the layered meanings within everyday and extraordinary gifts that circulate through the potlatch: blankets, canoes, prints, mugs, and beads, to name a few.

When: Opening day on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025

Heads up, Canucks fans! You can catch a game against the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Arena this Friday. Grab your blue and white and get ready to cheer as loudly as you can.

The Richmond Night Market is in its 25th year, complete with hundreds of international street food booths, local retail vendors, and a first-of-its-kind zipline.
