Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival
The Vancouver International Mountain Film Fest is back until March 4, 2025, with 20 in-person movie screenings and 60 incredible films showcasing thought-provoking stories about outdoor activities like snowsports, mountain climbing, biking, and much more.
The festival will also spotlight some of the world’s leading artists and athletes at a variety of in-person workshops.

Travis Abels at the Pacific Theatre
Award-winning storyteller and performer Travis Abels is bringing his real-life coming of age story to the stage this month alongside the Vancouver Fringe Theatre Society, and you won’t want to miss it. At Pacific Theatre from March 5 to 8, 2025, you can check out “Things I Hide From Dad,” a story about Abels’ upbringing in his father’s doomsday cult, combining personal storytelling with one-of-a-kind audio design.

Vancouver International Dance Festival
A new month calls for more movement to shake things up! This year’s Vancouver International Dance Festival is celebrating 25 years of dance ranging from traditional forms to raw, experimental performances that engage and challenge audiences to embrace dance without aesthetic boundaries.

Cambodian Rock Tour
This darkly comedic, genre-defying play by Lauren Yee (and featuring songs by Dengue Fever) tells the story of a Khmer Rouge survivor returning to Cambodia after thirty years, just as his daughter prepares to prosecute one of the country’s most notorious war criminals.
You can catch a show at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage starting this week until early April.

Femme, Femme, Femme: International Women’s Day Edition
This Thursday, The Improv Centre on Granville Island is hosting a night of woman-powered comedy that will have you cackling. Showcasing some of the boldest, wittiest, and most fearless femmes in their ensemble, the show is a great excuse to get out to Granville Island for some mid-week laughs.

To Be Seen, To Be Heard: First Nations in Public Spaces
It’s not too late to check out the Museum of Anthropology’s multimedia exhibition (and world premiere of), To Be Seen, To Be Heard, which tells the stories of First Nations communities across BC during the period of “potlatch prohibition” and other forms of erasure in Canada.

Fandom Trivia Thursdays
No matter what you geek out on, Fandom Trivia at The Rec Room is a fun mid-week treat that checks every box. Great company, tons of laughs, special themed nights, and epic prizes. Hosted by Daniel Chai of The Fictionals Comedy Co., the trivia nights take place every Thursday at the Granville St. location!
There’s a different quiz each day, and participants typically compete in teams of six, according to The Rec Room’s website. Trivia runs from 7:30 p.m. to around 9:15 p.m.

The Art of Banksy Without Limits
