10 of the best things to do this weekend in Toronto (Aug. 29-Sept. 1)

28 August 20253 Mins Read

The best type of weekend is here — a long one. Yep, if you can believe it, Labour Day is right around the corner. The air may be getting colder, but the events in Toronto just keep getting hotter (ha, ha). There’s so much to do over the next few days, including a whack load of concerts. It’s going to be a good one — here are 10 of the best things to do in Toronto this (long) weekend.

Woof!

Bark in the Park TO is for dogs and their owners, known as “the ultimate celebration of all things canine.”

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online ahead of time.

When: Friday, Aug. 29 to Monday, Sept. 1
Where: Woodbine Park – 1695 Queen St. E.
Cost: $10 per ticket

This food fest is considered “The ultimate event for grill lovers and foodies, from smoky, slow-cooked meats to fire-roasted veggies and bold, charred flavours.”

If that sounds up your alley, head to Harbourfront Centre any day this long weekend (it’s free admission).

When: Friday, Aug. 29 to Monday, Sept. 1

Asian street food, live performances and more will take over Nathan Phillips Square from Friday to Sunday.

The festivities are free to attend, too.

The Jays are at home in a series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Playing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — the choice is up to you. And the birds are hot right now.

Hopefully, he does a backflip.

This is your warning that when you hear that loud noise roaring over you this weekend, it’s just the air show (gets me every year).

You can pay over $100 to watch from the Air Show Zone, or just look up wherever you are this weekend in Toronto.

When: Saturday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 1
Where: Toronto
Cost: Free or $102+ per ticket

Kpop girl group BABYMONSTER is at Scotiabank the very next night!

When: Saturday, Aug. 30
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Scotiabank Arena – 40 Bay St.
Cost: $92+ per ticket

TFC is hosting Montreal at home this weekend, a perfect way to enjoy the warm weather while it’s still here.

Go Reds!

When: Saturday, Aug. 30
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: BMO Field – 170 Princes’ Blvd.
Cost: $62+ per ticket

I wasn’t kidding when I said there were a lot of concerts this weekend.

The Black Keys are gracing us with their presence at Budweiser Stage on Sunday.

When: Sunday, Aug. 31
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Budweiser Stage – 909 Lake Shore Blvd. W.
Cost: $47.60+ per ticket

Another day, another concert, and this one is iconic.

Dua Lipa is performing at Scotiabank Arena, and it’s sure to be an incredible show.

Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Scotiabank Arena – 40 Bay St.
Cost: $118+ per ticket

Have a safe and fun long weekend, Toronto!
