Toronto, can you believe it’s the weekend before Christmas? Whether you’re celebrating or not, there are tons of ways to enjoy the buzz around the city this weekend including concerts, skating, sports and even pro wrestling.
These are 10 of the best things to do in Toronto this weekend.
Holiday Fair in the Square
Free to attend, Holiday Fair in the Square will include a massive holiday light maze, an exclusive LEGO pop-up, shopping vendors, cozy fire pits, and a winter-themed bar.
Whether you’re grabbing something from a food truck or taking photos at one of the many stops, this will be the perfect date night spot or putting with friends.

Distillery Winter Village
If you haven’t been to the Distillery Winter Village yet, this is the time! Festive food stands, live entertainment, shopping and of course gorgeous Christmas decor are just some of the holiday fun you can expect.
Tickets start at $15 per person for general admission.
When: Friday, November 15th – Sunday, November 17th from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (9:00 PM on Sunday)

Winter Bloom
“This intimate and interactive high-flying circus show features breathtaking displays of aerial silks, acrobatics, strength, artistry and humour,” says Toronto Botanical Garden.
This show takes place all weekend and is suitable for all ages and is the perfect family night out.
When: Friday, Dec. 20 to Sunday, Dec 22 with shows at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Cost: $20 per child or $40 per adult general admission
Hangar Skate
Hangar Skate’s 4,500 square-foot refrigerated rink is opening for the season on Friday. The rink is surrounded by “vibrant art installations at the YZD Plaza.” Skate rentals, complimentary indoor arts programming, holiday activities and DJ skate nights will all make up this fun winter experience on every weekend until Feb. 17, 2025.
Opening night on Dec. 20 will have a special holiday kick-off with festivities running from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with skating running from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Each Friday will be a DJ Skate Night which runs from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Superkick’d
A little pro wrestling never hurt anyone.

Polar Express PJ Party
Can you think of anything cozier than this? Hot Docs is hosting a screening of the holiday Movie The Polar Express and all are invited to come in their comfiest PJs. The showing is at 6:30 p.m. with tickets priced at $7.50 per person.

Down With Webster concerts
Talk about a throwback! Down With Webster is performing at History in Toronto for not one but two nights in a row. Grab tickets for Friday or Saturday and get ready to dance and sing along to songs like Your Man and Woah Is Me.

Winter Skating at The Bentway
The 220m figure-eight skate trail under the Gardiner is open starting on Dec. 21. Skaters can keep warm with free hot chocolate and if you don’t have your own pair, skate rentals will be available on-site for a fee,

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. New York Islanders
Go Leafs, go! The Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on the New York Islanders at home, a perfect thing to do on a Saturday night.
