It’s here! This week, not only do we have Canada Day to look forward to, but the Stampede also kicks off this Friday. Ready to enjoy everything that the city has to offer? Here are 10 wonderful things to do in Calgary between June 30 and July 4.

Want to take it easy? The Riverside Farmers Market will have local vendors, tasty food, and fresh air. Bonus: it’s totally free to attend.

Time: 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Admission: Free

A Canada Day tradition! This year, the city’s fireworks display will be launched from Stampede Park. Best Places to watch them? The Confluence, Tom Campbell, and Scotsman’s Hill.

When: Tuesday, July 1, 2025
Time: 11 p.m.
Where: 750 9th Ave. SE, Calgary
Admission: Free

It has all kicked off! The Europa Super Circus has popped its top in Calgary and will put “a modern twist on a classic circus,” featuring some of the continent’s best performers.

This Tuesday, celebrate Canada Day at the National Music Centre for free. Explore the country’s musical mosaic through fun activities, watch performances, wander the exhibits, and celebrate the country’s birthday.

Need an outfit for the Stampede? The annual Honky Tonk Market is back at the Core and will feature everything from jewelry to apparel.

Hungry? From the 4th to the 7th, enjoy live performances, luchador wrestling, authentic food and drink, an artisan market and a kids’ area – you’re going to have a blast!

Love history and wish you could walk with the dinosaurs? Life Chronicles is a virtual experience that will thrill visitors with the beauty and richness of life before time.

Get your rest and prepare to leave the house early. To celebrate the first day of the Greatest Show On Earth, the city will host the Calgary Stampede Parade, a must-see event featuring floats, performers, and crowds of people.
