It’s finally here! After a year of anticipation, the Stampede has kicked off and there is a ton happening in and around the city. From the midway to the mountains, here are 10 of the very best things to do in Calgary this weekend.

This Friday, celebrate the first day of the Greatest Show On Earth! The Calgary Stampede Parade is a must-see event featuring floats, performers, and crowds of people. Enjoy.

When: Friday, July 4, 2025
Where: Downtown Calgary – see route here
Time: 9 a.m. (prelude starts at 7:30 a.m.)
Admission: Free

This Friday, enjoy a romantic candlelight tribute to Fleetwood Mac. Before heading to the Stampede grounds, enjoy the musical stylings of talented musicians surrounded by hundreds of brightly lit wicks.

When: Friday, July 4, 2025
Time: 9:15 p.m.
Where: 1401 10th Ave. SE, Calgary
Admission: $53+

Last chance! Epic Weekends at Spruce Meadows have almost come to an end, but not before they screen more movies, feature more live music, more food, and more fun, alongside world-class show jumping. The best part? Tickets start at just $5 for seniors and kids aged 8 to 12, and will be $15 for adults. Kids under 8 get in for FREE.

When: Fridays to Sundays, July 4 to 6, 2025
Times: Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
