Another week in the city, and we’re loving every second of it. There are tons of things to do in Toronto this week that will make you want to head out and get some fresh air.

Want to know what’s going on in the city? Here are 10 of the best things to do this week in Toronto.

Steak and wine nights are now on Mondays, especially at The Drake. Enjoy an 8 oz bavette with whiskey peppercorn sauce, crispy hand-cut fries, and half-price bottles of wine. And what’s dinner without some sounds? DJ Sinner & James will be spinning a blend of chill house and deep bass.

When: Mondays (May 11, 2026)
Time: 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Drake Hotel – 1150 Queen St. W.
Cost: $38+

Experience a guided Negroni tasting experience inside Charlemagne Cocktail Bar – a cozy hideaway tucked above Café Renée. Your ticket includes a classic Negroni, three Negroni Family Tree variation samples, a food pairing to match the cocktails and a Campari keepsake.

When: Monday, May 11 to Friday, May 15, 2026
Time: 6 p.m. (several timeslots)
Where: Charlemagne Cocktail Bar inside Café Renée – 100 Portland St.
Cost: $80+ tax

Learn how to play both American and Cantonese Mahjong at STACKT Market.

Four tables will be available, with four players per table, and spots are first-come, first-served.

“No spot? No problem, hang out, watch a round, and hop in when a seat opens,” shares organizers. “This is a free event (Mahjong is typically $15/hour), making it the perfect chance to learn, practice, and meet others in the community!”

Attendees also get 25 per cent off matcha drinks in the clubhouse.

Chica’s Chicken, Toronto’s Michelin Bib Gourmand fried chicken spot for four years running, is turning eight. To celebrate, they are giving away 100 free chicken sandos at their Junction location. You can pick any sando you want – it’s first-come, first-served, until they’re gone.

Where: Chica’s Chicken – 2853 Dundas St. W.
Cost: Free

Need a midweek pick-me-up? Head to the Drake Lounge for a chef-curated sushi board and $10 sake cocktails. DJ Gil Masuda will be spinning the best, groovy hits from ’70s and ’80s Tokyo. Think funk, jazz, boogie, and soft rock.

When: Tuesdays (May 12, 2026)
Time: 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: The Drake Hotel – 1150 Queen St. W.
Cost: $37 sushi boards, $7 sapporo and $10 sake cocktails

LA Notte brings the best of a night out — drinks and good eats paired with live music. Juno award-winning artist Sean Jones is taking up a live music residency at Primadonna, performing on Thursdays. Tickets for the experience start at $25, but if you want dinner, which of course you do, prix fixe eats start at $65. Reservations can be made online.

You’ll get the chance to shop over 500 Hello Kitty and Friends products, including an exclusive surprise. The Racing Club Vinyl Plush Pendant Surprise Box is an exclusive launch that can only be found at the Canadian pop-up.

Now until May 30, 2026, Bar Reyna Yorkville is celebrating its 10th anniversary, offering guests 10 per cent off their bill.

Other specials during the month include a special anniversary cocktail, a birthday party on May 26 and Reyna’s Unapologetic Drag Brunch on May 31, 2026

Another immersive experience is in Toronto, and this time it’s brought a vibrant, dreamlike world to life. Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience will feature over 300 of Monet’s creations, transforming them into interactive works of art.

Toronto’s museum dedicated to footwear, the Bata Shoe Museum, has unveiled its 2026 annual spring exhibition, Unearthing Vindolanda: Footwear from the Edge of the Roman Empire. This exhibit will feature 100 artifacts from Vindolanda, including Roman leather shoes dating back nearly 2,000 years.
