Cheers to another weekend in our lively city! We’ve rounded up a bunch of things to do in Edmonton this weekend, keeping the winter fun rolling. Whether you’re looking to take a stroll or watch a performance, there’s lots to do and see in the city.

Here’s what’s going on in Edmonton this weekend:

Stretch those legs and hit the ice! This skating experience at the Ice Palace is perfect for families, friends, and couples alike.

When: Jan. 10 and 11, 2026
Time: Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Where: Ice Palace – 8882 170th St. NW
Cost: $16 admission / $6 for a pair of skate rentals + GST

Get ready for an unforgettable night and travel to Middle-earth through the magic of music. Hundreds of talented musicians from the FILMharmonique Orchestra and Choir will take the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

When: Jan. 9 and 10, 2026
Time: Friday 7:30 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

This is an all‑new immersive dome experience called Astronomica, taking you on a breathtaking journey through the infinite beauty of the cosmos.

You can now visit the Art of Banksy right in Edmonton City Centre! This art exhibition takes you through over 200 pieces of artwork by the street artist Banksy, including interactive displays like the Infinity Room.

Rabbit Hill is Edmonton’s largest snow resort, offering over 40 acres of terrain and a thrilling tube park for over 70 years. It is now open for the winter season.

The snow is finally packed in, and it’s time for those winter hikes and trails in Edmonton.
