10 Trending Beach Destinations To Visit Before Summer Ends, According To Airbnb, Canada Reviews

8 August 20253 Mins Read

August is well and truly underway, lots of us are scrambling to make the most of the final dregs of summer, and what better place is there to do that than the beach?

We know how crucial it is that you not only find a gleaming waterside destination, but also that you find the right place to stay, and that’s why Airbnb has produced this list of the 10 best beachy spots to end before summer ends, along with some rather knockout places-to-stay recommendations – it’s what they’re good at, after all.

First up, it’s Saquarema, a lush coastal town in Brazil which plays host to the country’s surf capital, Praia das Pedras de Itaúna. Sold already? Check out this rustic house, which is nestled between Saquarema’s Surf Association and museum – it’s classically boho and beachy in its decor, but also packs some luxurious perks like a private pool and ‘additional services’ such as your very own barbecue chef.

Recommended: The Amsterdam hotel just crowned the best luxury hotel in the world.

Fancy kicking back somewhere in Europe? Airbnb recommends Hossegor, which is perched on France’s rugged Atlantic coastline. Here you’ll find cute little beachfront cafes, windswept sand and plenty of chances to catch some waves – beginners should check out Le Penon, and more experienced surfers will love La Gravière. Oh, and it’s only a 40-minute drive from Biarritz – one of ’s top picks for where to head on a city break this summer.

As for where to stay, look no further than this ridiculously stylish, beachfront villa (which even comes with a jacuzzi).

Over in the States, Portland is a solid spot to soak up some rays. Go and pay the Portland Head Light a visit in Fort Williams Park, or go for a long old stroll along Crescent Beach State Park, before heading back to rest up at this stunning waterfront Penthouse. It’s got lovely views of Dimillo’s Marina, so you can watch the world float by.

  • Fukuoka, Japan
  • Big Bear Lake, California, USA

Did you see the futuristic city with the most skyscrapers in the world?
