Tammy Slaton said she feels ready to “start seeking love again” following the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, last year.
The 1000-Lb Sisters star opened up about her thoughts on re-entering the dating pool in a video preview for an upcoming episode that was shared with People. The magazine published the clip online on Friday, Dec. 13. The video is expected to air on TLC as part of the show’s season finale on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

In the short video, Slaton, 38, was seen having a conversation with her older brother, Chris. Chris’ wife, Brittany, was seated beside him, though she did not speak in the clip.
“It’s almost been a year since Caleb passed,” Slaton reminded her brother. “I think I’m ready to start looking for somebody.”
“Well, as long as they treat you fine, that’s all that matters to me,” Chris told her.
In a separate confessional, Slaton said the idea of dating again was something she had started seriously considering. “Lately, I’ve been feeling like it’s time for me to start moving on. And to start seeking love again,” she said.
However, the reality TV star said her dating focus might be different moving forward. “This time, I’m thinking of seeing a female,” she said. “As it stands right now, I don’t want to be with another man. It just doesn’t feel right. I don’t even have those feelings for a guy anymore after Caleb passed.”
Slaton and Willingham first met while they were both at a rehabilitation center in Ohio. They tied the knot in November 2022 and were together for less than a year before Willingham’s death at 40 in the summer of 2023.
In the time since her husband’s passing, Slaton has celebrated milestones reached as part of her weight loss journey. Just a few months ago, she revealed that she lost 500 pounds, a major victory for the TLC star.
