From block parties to a four-day warehouse sale, here are 11 of the best things to do in Vancouver this weekend (Aug 22-24).

Hosted by pop-up legends Granville Flea and North Vancouver’s Arrival Vintage, the market will bring together some of the best vintage streetwear vendors from across Vancouver. And if you’re looking to share a bit of your own closet with the community, now is a great chance to downsize as well, as participating vendors will be buying from the public.

Cost: Free admission

This weekend, the Whitecaps are up against St. Louis City SC, so get ready to don your blue and white.

Downtown Van proudly presents the third annual Granville Block Party, a free, family-friendly, two-day street festival in the heart of the Granville Entertainment District.

Happening Saturday, Aug. 23 and Sunday, Aug. from 1 to 7 p.m., the event brings together live music, market vendors, kid-friendly fun, and the local businesses that make Granville Street a vibrant destination year-round.

The fourth annual Black Block Party is taking over the North Plaza at the Vancouver Art Gallery this weekend with an array of talented artists, local vendors, food trucks, and businesses to explore. You need a ticket to secure entry, but admission is always free.

This weekend, the Vancouver Canadians continue to face off against the Tri-City Dust Devils at the Nat. Grab your pals and settle in for a game to mark the end of summer.

This is one to mark for next weekend. Celebrate 50 years of VanDusen Botanical Garden with nature-inspired fun, live entertainment, and community connections on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025.

Enjoy hands-on activities in three themed zones, live entertainment on the Great Lawn, local food vendors, and guided historical tours that highlight the Garden’s rich history. Learn tips from horticultural experts, and don’t miss workshops and activities from our community partners like the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and Fleurs de Villes.

Event activities are included with garden admission or membership.

The Burnaby Lake Run is coming up this Sunday, and donations will be used to support the Burnaby Hospital Foundation to improve community health and infrastructure.

The four-day Latest Scoop Warehouse Sale is starting this Thursday and running through the weekend. In addition to apparel, the sale will feature discounted home decor and furniture, all up to 70 per cent off.

The 2025 Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is in full swing, and you can check out one of four iconic productions: Much Ado About Nothing, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again], and The Dark Lady.

Gastown Sunday Set is a car-free series that’s transformed the cobblestone streets of Gastown into a pedestrian haven. For 12 consecutive Sundays this summer, there will be a variety of open-air parties, concerts, and live events to check out.

The beloved Richmond Night Market is in its 25th year, complete with hundreds of international street food booths, local retail vendors, and a first-of-its-kind zipline.
