The sun is back and it’s here to stay! The Weeknd is in town, and it’s the perfect week to enjoy a couple of concerts, outdoor movies, hit up a night market, or do a combination of all three. Here are 12 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (July 14-18).

Yup, The Weeknd is in town on Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16, 2025, for his new After Hours Til Dawn Tour, and it’s not too late to snag tickets at either show.

Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 777 Pacific Blvd.
Cost: $96.60+

Cates Deck in North Van is screening Gravity this week, and more sci-fi movies are on the way every Thursday this July and August.

When: Thursday, July 3 to Aug. 28, 2025
Time: Movies start at sunset
Where: 101 Carrie Cates Court, North Vancouver
Cost: Admission by donation

Speaking of free outdoor movies, you can check out Little Women at the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza, courtesy of Downtown Van.

You don’t need a partner or dancing experience to enjoy Zumba at Canada Place. The fun, free weekly event is hosted on the beautiful North Point of Canada Place, where visitors can learn to dance in an open-air workout area, with a view of the Burrard Inlet and North Shore mountains.

Classes take place every Monday in July and August from July 14 to Aug. 25, 2025, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Canada’s first and only all-vegan market is hosting three beachside night markets this July, and the next one is coming up this Thursday. Each market brings dozens of plant-based food vendors and local artisans to Locarno Beach.

The 2025 Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is kicking off with Much Ado About Nothing and The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Vanier Park. So get ready for an outdoor theatre production like no other.

The Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park has come to life for this year’s Theatre Under the Stars program, which weaves Stanley Park’s beautiful surroundings with the stories of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Legally Blonde from June 27 to Aug. 16, 2025, with performances alternating every evening in between.
