Next on Netflix 2026 (this year dubbed What Next?) kicked off at the beginning of January with the huge slate reveal for both Netflix US, UK, and France – now a couple of weeks later, we’re getting more slate confirmations beginning with Netflix Poland, which has confirmed a dozen titles coming up over the next year.

Following a strong showing in previous years with hits like Heweliusz and Forgotten Love, Netflix is once again showcasing its vast investment in the region. Łukasz Kłuskiewicz, Netflix’s CEE content lead, teased that 2026 is about “variety,” introducing new genres and first-time collaborations with top creators.

“This year we aim to surprise our audience with even more variety – including new genres across our Polish original productions and creators with whom we are working for the first time.”

Here is the breakdown of the 12 titles announced, categorized by movies, series, and returning titles.

Kicking off the slate very soon is Lead Children. Set in 1970s Silesia, the limited series dramatizes the true story of a lead poisoning epidemic. Joanna Kulig (Cold War, The Eddy) stars as a determined doctor fighting a heroic battle against bureaucracy and illness to save children.

Anaesthesia (Znieczulenie)

Genre: Medical Drama | Release Date: 2026

Marking Netflix’s entry into the medical procedural genre in Poland, Anaesthesia stars Leszek Lichota (who found global fame in Forgotten Love). Lichota plays a brilliant neurosurgeon who, after a failed operation, is ousted from a prestigious clinic. He lands in a small county facility where his arrogance clashes with the locals, but his rule-bending methods might just be what saves lives.

The Riot

Genre: Thriller / Drama | Release Date: 2026

Inspired by true events from 1989, The Riot depicts the events surrounding Poland’s largest prison riot. The series stars Borys Szyc and Filip Pławiak as former cellmates who must return to the prison in an attempt to stop the bloodshed.

Love is Blind: Poland

Genre: Reality | Release Date: 2026

The global dating juggernaut is finally landing in Poland. The local edition will be hosted by the power couple Zofia Zborowska-Wrona and Andrzej Wrona, following the standard format of singles trying to find love without ever seeing each other.

First announced previously, we now have our first look at the ambitious adaptation of Bolesław Prus’ classic novel. Directed by Paweł Maślona (The Scar), the series is set against the backdrop of 19th-century Warsaw.

The story follows the complex tension between the wealthy merchant Stanisław Wokulski and the aristocratic Izabela Łącka. Netflix has confirmed the literary duo will be portrayed by Sandra Drzymalska (EO, Sexify) and Tomasz Schuchardt (High Water).

New Movies from Poland Releasing in 2026

Genre: Comedy | Release Date: 2026
