La Bahia Hotel & Spa has opened in Santa Cruz, California, marking the city’s first luxury hotel.

La Bahia Hotel & Spa has officially opened in Santa Cruz, California, becoming the first luxury hotel in the area. The hotel is situated at Main Beach, where Monterey Bay meets the Pacific Ocean, and features 155 rooms. The property includes four dining options, a rooftop spa, and over 13,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The hotel offers a variety of amenities, including a rooftop spa with an ocean view sauna and a zen deck. The spa features eight treatment rooms and provides services inspired by the local marine environment. The hotel also has four distinct culinary venues led by Executive Chef Fernando Reyes, including a Pacific Rim-inspired restaurant and a champagne bar.

La Bahia Hotel & Spa offers guests a range of local experiences, including beach butler service, e-bike rentals, and guided tours. The hotel has partnered with local businesses to offer exclusive experiences, including a coffee tour with Cat & Cloud and a collaboration with Penny Ice Cream.

The property also features a historic bell tower, which has been restored and integrated into the hotel’s design.
