Many Canadians will wake up to a statutory holiday on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, perhaps taking the time to stay in pajamas or cook a heartier breakfast, but which holiday they’ll be celebrating will depend on where they live.

In Alberta, B.C., New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan, Feb. 20 is Family Day. Manitoba celebrates Louis Riel Day, Nova Scotia has Nova Scotia Heritage Day and Prince Edward Island enjoys Islander Day. The third Monday of February is a statutory holiday in every province, aside from Quebec and the three territories (although the Yukon celebrates Yukon Heritage Day on Friday).
With all that time to spend together, we’ve put together some super fun activities that can be enjoyed in February and all year long. For each activity, we’ve included an option for kids, teens and adults.
