61 Bars Added to Prestigious Michelin-Style List, Canada Reviews

26 September 20253 Mins Read

Michelin Guide recognition is the pinnacle of excellence in the culinary world; we all know that. But what about the bar world?

There is, of course, the likes of World’s 50 Best, a coveted annual list that’s been seeking out the best bars on the planet for a good 15 years now. (In fact, they just this week dropped their 2025 longlist – check out the highly commended bars here).

But the Pinnacle Guide, launched in spring 2024, seeks to bring the concept of the Michelin star into the world of drinking. Last May, the guide awarded its first ‘pins’ to 37 bars (you can read about those here). Since then, it has regularly updated its list of pinned bars, with help from anonymous reviewers who have been tasked with secretly sipping and providing feedback.

Recommended: The one bar to visit in the world’s best cities, according to editors

A further 61 bars have just been added to the guide, taking the total number of ‘pinned’ bars up to 146. There are 43 with 1 pin and 18 with 2 pins – meaning that Lyaness in London is the only bar with 3 pins, aka the highest possible award.

Among the newly 2-pinned bars, there’s everything from Mexican-themed Mirate in Los Angeles and hotel bar Dover Yard in London to cocktail lounge The Clumsies in Athens. Read on for the full list of 2-pinned and 1-pinned bars.
