Rush has postponed two remaining performances in Fort Worth, Texas, after frontman Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis, forcing the legendary Canadian rock band to delay part of its long-awaited 2026 Fifty Something reunion tour.
The band shared the announcement with fans through Instagram, confirming that the Tuesday and Thursday concerts at Dickies Arena would no longer take place as scheduled after Lee’s doctors advised him to take more time to recover before returning to the stage.
The postponed Tuesday performance has been rescheduled for July 11, while the previously delayed Thursday concert will now take place on July 13.

Rush confirmed that all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates. Fans who cannot attend may request refunds through their original point of purchase.
The latest postponements come less than a week after the band was forced to reschedule its original June 24 Fort Worth concert because of unforeseen travel and border-related delays while returning to the United States following performances in Mexico City.

That June 24 concert was initially moved to July 2. However, with Lee’s illness, the rescheduled July 2 performance has now been pushed back again to July 13.
Despite the early disruption, Rush successfully performed its June 26 and June 28 concerts at Dickies Arena before announcing the latest changes.
The band thanked everyone involved in helping secure replacement dates and expressed appreciation for fans who have continued supporting the tour.
The Fifty Something tour marks Rush’s first major tour in more than a decade and the band’s first since ending its original run in 2015.
The reunion features founding members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, with acclaimed drummer Anika Nilles joining the lineup following the death of longtime drummer Neil Peart in 2020. Keyboardist Loren Gold also performs as part of the touring band.
The tour began on June 7, 2026, in Inglewood, California, before moving through Mexico City and Fort Worth. After Texas, the extensive trek will continue across the United States and Canada before expanding into South America and Europe in 2027.
Rush originally formed in Toronto in 1968 and has become one of Canada’s most successful rock bands. The group has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and is known for classic songs including “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight” and “The Spirit of Radio.”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees reunited for the “Fifty Something” Tour after Lee and Lifeson announced the comeback in October 2025.
Although the Fort Worth schedule has experienced multiple changes, the band said the remainder of the tour is expected to continue after Lee has fully recovered.
Fans attending the rescheduled Texas concerts will be able to use their original tickets, while refund options remain available for those unable to attend the new dates.
