2025 has been a busy year so far, with Netflix Originals removals. July will see some more notable titles depart, including one of the DreamWorks animated series, as well as the award-winning and much-loved Call My Agent! series from France. Here are the eight currently scheduled departures planned for July 2025.
Important Note: As always with licensing on Netflix, whether labeled Original or otherwise, these licenses are subject to change and renewal. While we’ll do our best to update this article with renewals, they’re not always made apparent. It’s also possible this list doesn’t represent all the removals, just the ones we’ve managed to track down.
As a reminder, you can find the complete list of Netflix Original departures here.
Leaving July 6th
The Hater
The first major removal for July is the 2020 Polish thriller The Hater (also known as Sala samobójców. Hejter), which first touched down on Netflix on July 10th, 2020, and was actually removed for a few weeks after its release before returning at the end of July. Now, five years later, the movie is scheduled for departure.
Directed by Jan Komasa with Maciej Musiałowski, Agata Kulesza, and Danuta Stenka leading the cast, the official synopsis for the series is as follows: “A duplicitous young man finds success in the dark world of social media smear tactics — but his virtual vitriol soon has violent real-life consequences.”
Leaving July 10th
The Twelve
Next up is another European title, this time a courtroom crime series from Belgium that Netflix acquired for international release on July 10, 2020. Now, it’s scheduled to depart five years later. Starring Maaike Neuville, Charlotte De Bruyne, and Tom Vermeir, the 10-part series centers on the trial of a woman accused of killing her daughter and best friend, and the painstaking deliberations of the twelve jurors tasked with deciding her fate.
Interestingly, the series went on to produce another couple of seasons, but those were never made available on Netflix. The first season, however, also known as De twaalf, boasts a solid IMDb score of 7.4/10 and won a number of awards in its home country following its initial airing on VRT 1.
Leaving July 16th
MILF
Another stop in Europe for the next title with MILF, a romantic comedy hailing from France, next up for removals. Produced by StudioCanal, Nexus Factory, and A Single Man Productions, the movie made its theatrical debut in France in 2018 before Netflix picked it up in 2020, meaning that like the other titles on this list, the movie was only exclusively licensed to Netflix for a five-year stint.
Directed by Axelle Laffont, the movie followed three best friends in their 40s engaging in affairs with much younger men. It’s a little crass and got panned by critics and audiences alike.
Leaving July 17th
Bitter Daisies
Another leg on our European tour of Netflix Original removals takes us to Spain, where the 2018 series Bitter Daisies (also known as O sabor das margaritas) is set to leave Netflix after over six years on the service. First added on March 29th, 2019, the crime thriller comes from director Miguel Conde and follows a Civil Guard officer who, while investigating the disappearance of a teenage girl in a tight-knit Galician town, uncovers secrets tied to a personal loss of her own.
María Mera, Santi Prego, and Noelia Castano front the cast of the 6-part series that scored well with audiences upon its Netflix release.

Harvey Girls Forever!

Picture: DreamWorks Pictures Television
As we’ve been covering, Netflix’s fruitful relationship with DreamWorks Television, which has now spanned over a decade, has one significant drawback: Netflix doesn’t own the licenses to the shows indefinitely. Beginning in 2023, we’ve seen the slow removal of DreamWorks titles from Netflix, a trend that continues through 2025. We’ve already seen Spirit Riding Free and Richie Rich leave this year, with Trolls: The Beat Goes On and The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants scheduled for departure later in the year.
Also known as Harvey Street Kids, this particular series was developed by Emily Brundige and featured the voices of Lauren Lapkus, Stephanie Lemelin, and Kelly McCreary, with the plot of the four seasons across 52 episodes (99 segments) following Audrey and friends having afternoon adventures on the famous Harvey Street.
Leaving July 22nd
Call My Agent!
The biggest removal of the month by far and away is Call My Agent!, one of the rare shows to break out around the world and get plenty of buzz across the trades. First licensed to Netflix in 2016 with new seasons coming to Netflix soon after their initial airing on France 2, the series eventually wrapped up with its fourth and final season in January 2021 on Netflix, with 24 episodes under its belt in total.
We guess that Netflix may try to renew this, especially since they’re tied to the show, given they produced and exclusively released an Indian Bollywood spin-off that ran for a single season, but we’ll see what happens. Why did this appeal so much to Hollywood? Well, it’s about them! The series is set at a top Parisian talent agency, with the plot of the comedy drama about agents desperately trying to keep their clients happy.
According to the Engagement Reports, viewership of the series is relatively low, with it garnering several million views between 2023 and 2024.
Leaving July 25th
Mark Normand: Soup to Nuts
In 2023, Netflix began experimenting with its lineup of stand-up specials, opting to license only a select few new specials for a two-year period. One of those on that short licensing leash is Mark Normand’s first-ever special for Netflix, which will now depart on July 25th.
Leaving July 31st
Plastic Cup Boyz: Laughing My Mask Off Seriously Single
Another batch of stand-up specials leaving Netflix at the end of the month will be the 3-part series Plastic Cup Boyz: Laughing My Mask Off Seriously Single, helmed by Joey Wells, Spank Horton, and Na’im Lynn.
