‘80s Pop Queen Turns Heads in Tiny Shorts During Boxing Workout

18 July 20252 Mins Read

Aging like a fine wine doesn’t just “happen.” Sure, surgeries and cosmetic work can play their part, but to truly age with grace you have to take care of yourself more than anything. That means nurturing your mind and body with healthy activity and that’s exactly what pop icon Debbie Gibson, 54, proves she’s doing just with her latest video.

Gibson reveled she’s a beginner but has begun falling in love with a new sport, boxing, and announced it to the world with a video montage of her sparing in teeny tiny shorts.

A post shared by Debbie Gibson (@debbiegibson)

In the caption Gibson mentioned she was training with Beibut Shumenov, a WBA Light heavyweight and Cruiserweight World Champion and has been loving seeing how sports and music has so many parallels.

Fans were excited to see Gibson take on the new hobby, and were so impressed with how beautiful and strong she looks at 54.

“You are a certified knockout still,” praised one fan.

“This is so awesome and your balance/movement looks fantastic! Definitely float like a butterfly and have no doubt sting like a bee,” added another.

Fans suspected that since Gibson mentioned in the caption she was shooting a video on Saturday that boxing might be part of the concept, but the pop icon has yet to confirm that. Gibson has been keeping super active in her career overall. Just recently, she announced that she’s releasing a memoir in September 2025.

“It is my way to celebrate the connection I have to all of you, my longtime audience,” she said in the announcement. “I hope you gain inspiration from how I’ve overcome challenges and I can’t wait to share this story of resiliency so we can all be at our most vital and vibrant.”
