'90s Metal Band Announces Update on 2026 Tour

21 February 20263 Mins Read

Arch Enemy’s 2026 plans just got even bigger.

The Swedish melodic death metal band has officially added 12 European club shows to its 2026 touring schedule, expanding what was already shaping up to be a major year on the road. The newly announced dates will see the group perform in more intimate venues across Europe, giving fans a chance to experience their famously intense live show up close.

The tour expansion comes during a significant transition for the band. In late 2024, longtime vocalist Alissa White-Gluz departed Arch Enemy after more than a decade fronting the group. The band announced that she would be stepping away to focus on other projects, marking the end of an era that began when she joined in 2014, replacing founding vocalist Angela Gossow as the band’s live frontwoman.

To fill the role, Arch Enemy introduced a new singer, Lauren Hart, signaling the start of the next chapter in the band’s nearly 30-year history. The lineup shift has already begun to take shape publicly with the release of new material, including the single “To the Last Breath,” which showcases the refreshed dynamic.

“Make no mistake — this song is a reckoning,” said guitarist Michael Amott of the band’s latest track. “Musically, it’s unapologetically aligned with my original vision for the band — and I believe longtime fans will recognize that immediately. Lyrically, it’s about seeing through deception and dismantling the illusion of control. It captures that moment when you realize you’ve been fed poison — and you choose to fight back. Once that clarity hits, there’s no retreat. It’s do or die.”

Founded in 1995 by Amott following his stint in Carcass, Arch Enemy quickly became one of the defining acts of melodic death metal. The band’s combination of razor-sharp riffs, dual-guitar harmonies and commanding vocal performances helped them build a global following. Over the years, they’ve weathered lineup changes while maintaining a consistent presence on international festival stages and headline tours.

Now, with 12 additional European club shows locked in for 2026, Arch Enemy is proving that change hasn’t slowed their momentum. If anything, the more intimate run suggests a renewed focus on connection and intensity as they step into a new era.

Ticket information and full details for the 2026 European dates are available via the band’s official website and social media platforms.

For Arch Enemy, 2026 isn’t just another tour year: it’s a turning point.
