October is nearly here and with a nip in the air, we’re ready to get spooked. The very best place to do so? In the city of Champions, that’s of course, The Deadmonton Haunted House, the city’s premier Halloween fright fest.
About Deadmonton Haunted House
Celebrating 11 years of scary the pants off of nearly everyone who attends, this year’s event will take place at the old Edmonton Sun building and feature some chilling experiences for you!
Descried as one of “Edmonton’s MOST anticipated events,” Deadmonton Haunted House initially started off in a small warehouse, before moving to Paramount Theatre on Jasper Ave, then to its current location at the iconic Edmonton Sun building.
This year’s chilling haunts
The haunted house shared its experiences on social media, and here’s what they entail.
First up, you will find “The Abbey’s Whisper.”
“From within the twisted halls of an ancient ministry, a sinister force stirs, its malevolent power creeping through the cracks in the stone, seeping into the soil like a poison. The shadows grow longer, colder, as night falls upon the ruin known only as The Abbey,” they state.
“Those who dare to wander near feel it in their bones—a chill that freezes the very blood in their veins. The Abbey watches, ancient and unforgiving, its secrets buried deep beneath the cursed ground. But the whispers are growing louder… calling to those brave enough to listen.”
Chills!
Next up, you will have the “Curse of the Mucklebone Coven.”
For this one, “Doom has come to this once quiet homestead. Witness the fate of those foolish enough to anger the Sisters of the Mucklebone Coven.”
And finally, probably the scariest of them all for us… “Puppet Factory mystery.”
“In a dark corner of Deadmonton, the Puppet Factory comes to life—where the line between puppet and master has been severed. Once lifeless, these puppets have now awakened, driven by a sinister force.”
Say less, Deadmonton.
Food & drinks are available
If getting spooked makes you hungry, there is a full menu of food and drinks to enjoy before heading in, or in between, or after checking out all the attractions.
The menu includes fries, tacos, and a selection of drinks.

“The terror is almost here…,” they shared on Instagram.
“Deadmonton will rise and haunt your nightmares. Are you ready to face what’s waiting in the dark? Prepare for heart-pounding scares, twisted thrills, and eerie encounters around every corner. The countdown to fear is nearly over—this is your final warning.”
