“From mid-September to the end of October, our territory is adorned in a myriad of festive colours. This map follows the changes in the colours so you won’t miss any of the show,” states the Bonjour Québec website.

The map features a color-coded system: green indicates no changes yet, yellow signifies the beginning of transformation, and orange marks the mid-point of foliage. Red means the leaves are nearing peak, while brown indicates the foliage is past its prime. If you spot an area marked in grey, it’s too late to catch the display.

Believe it or not, some areas of Quebec are already nearing peak foliage. Parc national du Mont-Mégantic in the Eastern Townships and Parc du Massif du Sud in Chaudière-Appalaches are currently awash with stunning shades of red, yellow, and gold. Whether you’re into fall photoshoots, hiking, or simply soaking in the magnificent colours, now is the perfect time to visit.

Closer to home, the leaves in the Laurentians — specifically at Mont-Tremblant, Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau, and Parc régional Montagne du Diable — are at their mid-point. Although there’s still time before they reach peak, Tremblant’s dazzling display of ochre and crimson is well on its way.

Other regions at their mid-point include parts of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie, Lanaudière, Mauricie, and Capitale-Nationale, although the timing can vary significantly depending on the specific area. Meanwhile, vibrant foliage in the Outaouais, Greater Montreal, Côte-Nord, and Abitibi-Témiscamingue regions is just starting to make its debut or hasn’t begun yet.
