Hilton announced today that it will open its first hotel in Udaipur, known as the ‘City of Lakes.’ The 118-room Hilton Udaipur will open in early 2026 and will be Hilton’s third hotel in Rajasthan, following the Waldorf Astoria and Conrad in Jaipur. The project is being developed in partnership with Elysian Hotels Private Limited.
Udaipur is known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning architecture, and picturesque lakes. The new Hilton hotel will offer views of the city’s famous lakes and palaces, including Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake. The hotel’s location will provide easy access to the city center, airport, and railway station.
The hotel will feature 118 guest rooms and suites set within lush gardens, reflecting Udaipur’s unique aesthetic and cultural influences. It will also cater to the thriving wedding market in Rajasthan, offering extensive indoor and outdoor event spaces. The hotel will also house four dining outlets and recreational amenities, including an outdoor pool, spa, fitness center, and executive lounge.
Zubin Saxena, senior vice president and regional head at Hilton, South Asia, highlighted that the new hotel aligns with Hilton’s expansion plan to establish a presence in India’s top tourism destinations. Ravindra Singh, director of Elysian Hotels Private Limited, expressed pride in bringing the first Hilton hotel to Udaipur, aiming to set a new standard for regional hospitality experiences.
With this addition, Hilton now has 55 hotels operating or developing in South Asia, reflecting the company’s rapid growth in the region. The company aims to increase its presence to 75 hotels in the coming years.
