Hyatt Affiliate Signs Management Agreement for New 519 Room Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa
Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that a Hyatt affiliate is set to manage a new resort in the Dominican Republic. The agreement was made with Cobbo Bay Developers SA for a Dreams Resorts & Spas branded resort named Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa.
The new resort, scheduled to open by the end of the year, will host 519 guestrooms, including 40 villas and 100 swim-up suites. Its location within the exclusive Cap Cana community, near Punta Cana International Airport, offers guests easy access to local attractions such as marinas, amusement parks, equestrian centers, and a world-class golf course.
Cristobal Enriquez, vice president of business development for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, considers the Dominican Republic a key region for the company’s growth. The opening of Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa is in line with Hyatt’s strategy to expand its brand presence in popular destinations.
Guests at the resort will have access to various amenities, including ten à la carte restaurants, six bars, concierge services, entertainment, an 11,000 sq. ft. spa, and children’s programs. Recreational facilities include four swimming pools, a lazy river, pickleball and tennis courts, and a fitness center. The resort also offers flexible meeting spaces suitable for vacations and events.
Harold Cuellar, Executive Vice President of Cobby Bay Developers SA, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. The new resort will join Hyatt’s existing resorts in Cap Cana as part of Hyatt’s ongoing investment in the Dominican Republic. By the end of 2025, Hyatt anticipates having nearly 20 hotels and resorts in the destination.
