Land of Legends Qatar, poised to be one of the biggest theme parks in the Middle East, has officially started its construction. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The project is a joint effort of FTG Development and Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company.
The theme park’s impact on the country’s tourism sector is expected to be substantial, attracting an estimated 2 million visitors annually. Set to open by 2028, the $3 billion project will also contribute to Qatar’s economic diversification goals.
Over 650,000 square meters, the Land of Legends Qatar will feature seven themed zones, each with unique attractions. The park will offer a variety of experiences, including a family-friendly hotel, beachside activities, a music-themed hotel, boat parades, thrilling water adventures, and luxurious villas. It also offers diverse dining options to cater to all visitors.
His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Minister of Municipality and Chairman of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, emphasized that the project is a significant step towards making Qatar a leading tourist destination. He mentioned that it aligns with the nation’s strategy to diversify its economy while offering an exceptional experience to attract investment and boost the tourism sector.

Fettah Tamince, Founder of FTG Development and President of Land of Legends, added that the project aims to provide a lively world of entertainment and leisure, making it a top choice for holidays in the region.
Land of Legends Qatar is the first major development within the larger Simaisma Project, a sprawling 8 million square meter area that stretches along a beautiful 7-kilometer beach. This larger project will also include an 18-hole golf course, a luxury yacht marina, high-end residential villas, and various dining and retail options.
