When you become a parent, there are a lot of firsts you get to experience with your baby. Some are more fun than others—I seriously could have done without the misery my daughter’s first tooth brought into our household—and many of the best ones revolve around introducing your kiddo to the things that you love as they get big enough to enjoy them too. And since so many happy memories are made in the presence of food, allowing them to try the things you think they’ll probably like and seeing their reactions after they’ve started solids is a blast.
In the TikTok video below, one baby girl got to try one of my favorite foods, queso, and somehow, she had the exact same reaction to it that I do every time I go to a Mexican restaurant for dinner…

Mom @alyssaweathersbee shared the most adorable video of her baby girl tasting queso for the very first time while out to eat, and OMG—she’s just too adorable.
She’s hanging out in her car seat at the restaurant, looking as pleasant as can be, when her mom offers up a finger with a little bit of the dip on it. As soon as she sees it, she is very into trying whatever it is… and once the queso has had the chance to hit her taste buds, she knows instantly that this is something she loves.
Her eyes get huge, she smiles that precious, gummy baby smile so wide, and makes the most adorable happy noise. There’s no question about it: She’s a fan.

Not only did those commenting on the video think she’s adorable, but they also happened to find her just as relatable as I did, with one commenter letting mama know she just changed her daughter’s life for the better.
One of the viewers wrote, “Hi, I still react this way to queso, at 34 years old. She makes me feel seen.”
Another person wrote, “You can see the cheese joy processing, that’s just downright poetic.” Cheese joy? Yes, that should definitely be a thing.
Now, just wait until she’s old enough to experience the chips, too. That’s going to be another adventure entirely, especially if she follows it up with a nice yummy burrito.
I have a feeling that, in the future, this mom and daughter are going to have to have plenty of dinner dates at the Mexican restaurant. Order the large queso just to be safe! Honestly, can you ever have enough?
