Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco haven’t even been engaged for a day—or, at least, their engagement hasn’t been public for that long—but Taylor Swift has already agreed to a crucial role in their impending nuptials.
When the Only Murders in the Building star took to Instagram shortly after midnight on Thursday, Dec. 12, to reveal that she and the music producer, who have been public with their relationship since last December, were engaged, the “Paper Rings” songstress was quick to comment her eagerness to participate—and no, not as the wedding singer!

Instead, Swift cheekily commented in response to the exciting news, “yes I will be the flower girl.”

Gomez shared the next step in their relationship with fans with a photo of her ring, which featured a large, Marquise-shaped diamond attached to a diamond-encrusted band.
Blanco appeared to ask for her hand during a romantic picnic full of Taco Bell, the photos from which the actress captioned, “forever begins now.”
The two went public with their relationship in Dec. 2023, when the former Disney Channel star confirmed their romance by liking posts about the couple shared by fan accounts.
She even commented on one, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.”
While Gomez hasn’t publicly commented on Swift’s own relationship, it’s believed she’s incredibly supportive of the singer and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
An anonymous source previously told Entertainment Tonight that Gomez believes the couple are the “real deal” after seeing “how respectful Travis is of Taylor and that he treats her like a queen.”
