Celine Dion is gearing up for the holidays in perfect fashion—but some fans are confused about her choice in festive footwear.
In a new set of photos shared on social media, the 56-year-old singer looked like a Christmas present while wrapped in a sparkly red sequin dress, but it was her eccentric shoes that had some of her followers wondering, “What’s happening on her feet?”

As seen in the photos posted to Instagram on Tuesday, Dec. 17, Dion showed off her toned legs while crouching down in front of a decked-out Christmas tree to strike a fierce pose, revealing the high heeled shoes on her feet, which featured vibrant red and yellow fringe.

It was hard to tell if the puzzling shoes were supposed to depict fiery orange flames, or if the design was inspired by some sort of bird feathers, perhaps maybe those of a phoenix.
One user in the comments suggested, “Her boots look like that frizzy haired muppet meme going around.”
Another person pointed out that her shoes looked like “Moltres,” a Pokemon character that can control fire.
“No to the shoes but yes to all of her,” someone else, who wasn’t a fan of the unique footwear, wrote in the comments on Instagram.
But tons of Dion’s fans were supportive of the funky ‘fit, with one person commenting, “Celine walks the shoes, the shoes don’t walk her. 💪🤍👑.”
“Kinda like your shoes …. you make it all fit!” someone else added.
Plus, footwear aside, the photo of Dion was undeniably stunning.
“You know you ate that,” one fan gushed.
“Every picture of Celine could be a poster,” added another fan, who dubbed the “My Heart Will Go On” songstress an “Awesome lady.”
