CBRE Group to Set Up Global Financial Headquarters in Midtown Manhattan

CBRE Group, Inc. has announced plans to establish its Global Financial Headquarters at Lever House, 390 Park Avenue, in Midtown Manhattan. The company’s global corporate headquarters will remain at 2121 North Pearl Street in Dallas. The move to the Lever House location is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2025.

This strategic move results from CBRE Group’s growing financial presence in New York and the expansion of its investment management business. The company has also been increasingly involved in the public and private capital markets through mergers and acquisitions and co-investments in real estate and other assets.

CBRE Group will lease 64,350 square feet across six floors at Lever House. Four of these floors will house the headquarters operations of CBRE Investment Management, including its co-CEOs and CBRE’s Chief Financial Officer. Various corporate functions supporting the company globally and national lines of business directly interacting with the capital markets will also be located here. Industrious will convert the remaining two floors into a flex workspace intended for senior executives.

The Global Financial Headquarters will be established through a unique operating model, a managed fixed-flex lease, in collaboration with Industrious. Industrious will oversee the design, buildout, operations, and experience of the space and will also operate the adjacent Industrious Flex workplace. This arrangement will allow CBRE to gradually expand its occupancy, share amenities and programming with the adjacent Industrious workspace, and benefit from the profits generated by the Industrious workspace.

Lever House, recognized as one of New York City’s most iconic and architecturally significant buildings, was the city’s first modernist landmark, designated in 1982. In 2023, co-owners WatermanClark and Brookfield Properties redeveloped the building for $100 million, which included a revitalized lobby, a public plaza at ground level, and entirely modernized building systems.

CBRE’s existing location, 200 Park, will continue to serve as the headquarters for CBRE’s New York Tri-State Advisory Services business and house the company’s New York-based Global Workplace Solutions teams.
