First Hyatt Regency Hotel in Taiwan Opens Adjacent to Taoyuan Airport

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and CAL Hotel Co LTD, an affiliate of China Airlines, have announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport, marking the introduction of the first Hyatt Regency branded hotel in Taiwan. The hotel is next to the MRT Airport Hotel Station (A14a) in Taoyuan, allowing guests easy access to and from the airport via the Taoyuan Metro Train. It is only a 15-minute car journey from Terminals 1 and 2 at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.

The hotel, formerly known as Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, will undergo a series of enhancements over the next two years. These improvements will include refurbishments to the lobby, guestrooms, and food and beverage outlets.

Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport offers 476 modern guestrooms and suites, each equipped with Wi-Fi and HDTVs with built-in Chromecast. The soundproof, floor-to-ceiling windows provide guests with scenic views of the airport or garden. The hotel’s most spacious accommodation, the Regency Executive Suite, exhibits a design inspired by China Airlines’ business class. Guests staying on the Regency floor will have access to the Regency Club, which offers complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments, and evening cocktails.

The hotel’s overall design captures the essence of Taiwan’s beautiful landscapes and unique cultural heritage. The hotel lobby, centered around the theme “Overlooking the Beautiful Island,” incorporates elements of an airplane wing into its design. The central visual concept showcases Taiwan’s rich landscapes and lush forests from an aerial perspective.

The hotel features multiple dining options. The Lounge in the lobby provides a range of cocktails and light bites. Market Café offers a Western-style buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as à la carte and regular menu options. The hotel’s Chinese restaurant, Wei Fang, serves traditional Cantonese cuisine.

Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport also offers more than 679 square meters of meeting space suitable for weddings, events, or company meetings. The state-of-the-art technology includes high-speed cameras and smart screens supporting full-scene video synchronization, rebroadcasting, and live streaming.

As part of its introduction, the hotel offers World of Hyatt members the opportunity to earn 500 Bonus Points for qualifying nights at Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025.
