Christopher Walken might be starring in a TV show that first premiered on a streaming platform, but that doesn’t mean he’s watching it the same way that most of the series’ fans are.
During a Thursday, Jan. 16, interview on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, the 81-year-old actor said he instead relies on a more old-school method when he wants to watch some of the episodes.

The topic came up when Cohen, 56, asked Walken whether he has seen all of the episodes of Severance that were out at the time of their conversation. Prior to the Thursday interview, only one season of the show had been released.
“Not all of them,” Walken admitted. He then clarified his response, explaining that he hadn’t neglected to watch certain episodes due to a lack of interest, but because “I can’t. I don’t have the equipment.”
Despite not having a way to stream the show, The Deer Hunter star added that he has been provided with another way to see it. “They’re good enough to send me DVDs,” he said.
Cohen had one final clarification for Walken, asking if he possesses a subscription to Apple TV+, the platform on which Severance streams.
“I don’t have anything,” Walken insisted.
The revelation seemed to please Cohen, who informed the True Romance actor, “I love you for that.”
Walken plays Burt Goodman on Severance, a psychological thriller in which the people employed at a fictional company have their work memories separated from the rest of their thoughts when they are not on the clock. The show, which also stars Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower and Trammel Tillman, among others, first premiered in early 2022. Apple TV+ announced late last year that the popular show’s second season would premiere on Friday, Jan. 17.
