Canada Goose has teamed up with Giants of Africa to launch a game-changing new collaboration inspired by the spirit of basketball. This limited-edition collection brings bold style to champion youth empowerment, with proceeds going straight to Giants of Africa.
The Powerful Voices collection, which consists of four unique pieces, arrives on Feb. 3 and will be available at select stores and online in Canada and the U.S.
The story behind the collection
This collection is not just stylish — it’s also deeply inspiring.
This marks Canada Goose’s second collaboration with Giants of Africa, an organization founded by Toronto Raptors Vice-Chairman and President Masai Ujiri. Using basketball to inspire hope and growth for young people across the continent, Giants of Africa combines mentorship and quality instruction to leave a lasting impact both on and off the court.
At the heart of it all is Sauti Kuu (Kiswahili for “Powerful Voices”), a basketball court in Alego, Kenya, which is one of the courts being built under Giants of Africa’s 100-court initiative.
More than just a place to play, the Sauti Kuu court holds profound cultural significance, serving as a space where young people can thrive through the power of sport.
The court has a bold, symbolic pattern, which reflects the voices and dreams of the youth who play there — a ripple effect of positivity, unity, and resilience.
A new capsule collection
The linked Canada Goose capsule collection includes the Powerful Voices Hoody, Arctic Toque, Insulated Bomber, and Cargo Pant for Giants of Africa.
Whether you’re braving the elements or heading to the court yourself, each of these four pieces are designed for both performance and style.
Plus, 100 per cent of proceeds from the Powerful Voices collection go directly to Giants of Africa, supporting their mission to empower youth to dream big and drive positive change.
“Our goal was to create a design that not only honours Kenya’s vibrant culture but also embodies the exuberance and spirit of the youth within the community,” says Masai Ujiri.
“We’re excited to launch this second collaboration with Canada Goose and continue our work together supporting African youth, but on a larger scale, bringing communities together around the world over their shared love of the sport of basketball.”
Don’t miss the chance to wear your support for an incredible cause that fuels youth empowerment through basketball, transforming lives and sharing the game’s impact across the globe.
You can shop the collection starting Feb. 3 at select stores, including Canada Goose locations at Yorkdale and Eaton Centre, or online.
