Things have been rough on NCIS since it returned from its midseason break when Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) learned that Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) was dating her sister Robin (Lilan Bowden) and hadn’t bothered to tell her. It’s hard to know exactly why Knight is so perturbed. She says it’s because she knows her sister and when the two break up–inevitably and badly–she doesn’t want to have to choose between her sister and her partner.

So, when Nick keeps showing up for work tired from lack of sleep, Knight gives him a hard time thinking it’s because he’s doing late nights with Robin. It turns out that it isn’t Robin at all, but rather Nick’s on an undercover assignment to infiltrate a criminal gang, and that’s what’s giving him sleepless nights.

At one point, Nick’s cover is almost blown, but a quick lie that he’s engaged to be married saves him, and with that lie in place, Parker (Gary Cole) comes up with the idea of staging a fake wedding for two of its own in an attempt to take down the head gangster.
“You want to do what?!” NCIS Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) asks in disbelief when the idea is brought to him.
Parker explains that if they’re going to do it, they’re going to do it right. That means a budget for flowers, the cake, the wedding dress, music, and food and drink. Funnily enough, the idea may have been generated by a real-life sting that was done in Michigan in September 1990, which led to the arrest of 86 drug dealers in Owosso, MI.
So, does the sting work? And who is the mystery bride?
