The Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles, and thousands of their fans have descended on New Orleans this week in advance of Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9. And while Chiefs fans are looking for a three-peat following the team’s back-to-back Super Bowl wins in 2023 and 2024, a likely equally large contingent is on total Taylor Swift watch. As in: Will Swift be in attendance to support her Chiefs tight-end boyfriend Travis Kelce? (The answer is yes, according to Kelce’s brother Jason.) And most importantly, where will they eat (outside of the new concessions at the ‘Dome, of course)?
Here are the bars and restaurants that we think are just right for Swift and Kelce — or anyone who wants a taste of New Orleans that’s fit for a world-famous power couple.
It’s nearly impossible to talk New Orleans hotspots these days without mentioning Acamaya, chef Ana Castro’s Bywater restaurant for Mexican mariscos. Beyond the national and critical acclaim it’s received (Castro recently received a semifinalist nod for Best Chef: South at the 2025 James Beard Awards), the place is buzzing with A-lister energy, a true feast for the senses. Swift and Kelce can enjoy fiery shrimp aguachile, charred octopus with walnut salsa negra, and crab-topped chochoyotes amongst glowing neon, carved stone, gorgeous wooden breeze walls, and fellow diners with good taste.

The classic New Orleans setting at Columns, the recently rebranded historic hotel and bar on St. Charles Avenue, feels like a fit for the superstar couple. Since the weather should be mild, they could snag a seat on the hotel’s picturesque front porch for a gorgeous view of the tree-lined thoroughfare, while inside there are soaring ceilings, jewel tones, and ornate crown molding upon which to gaze.

Commander’s is New Orleans’s most famous fine-dining destination fit for the likes of Mick Jagger, so it wouldn’t be surprising to find the now-iconic couple dashing into the teal palace for a meal. We think Kelce would especially enjoy the wide-ranging food at the legendary Creole restaurant (except for the gumbo, apparently) from badass chef Meg Bickford.

Arguably New Orleans’s most legendary restaurant, Swift and Kelce would be wise to visit Dooky Chase for a quintessential taste of the city in a charming historic dining room. It’s the late chef Leah Chase’s restaurant, notably known for its Creole cuisine and rich civic history. Today, it’s one of the city’s favorite restaurants — it’s Bob Dylan’s favorite in New Orleans, too.
If we’re talking sweets, Drip Affogato, now in its new downtown digs, comes to mind. This place is pure whimsy, from the Alice in Wonderland-esque decor to its menu blending desserts and cocktails. While it specializes in extravagant versions of the traditional Italian dessert affogato, this is also the spot for the city’s only (?) Lil Wayne-inspired espresso martini.

Emeril Lagasse’s flagship New Orleans restaurant has long been a favorite destination for a celebratory blowout. A recent revamp has shifted the restaurant to a splurge-worthy tasting menu-only model, including dishes like smoked salmon cheesecake, oyster stew, and banana cream pie, all infused with a taste of luxury. It’s a lavish way to experience the best of contemporary New Orleans cuisine.
This recently converted hotel in the LGD has also proven to be a magnet for visiting and local celebrities since opening in 2021 — both Connie Britton and Jennifer Coolidge have been spotted there. San Lorenzo is the upscale Italian restaurant in the hotel, while the chic and tropical Paradise Lounge is the spot for an extravagant drink. ByGeorge NOLA, the hotel store, sells Swift-worthy designer labels and vintage Cartier watches to splurge on post-drinks.

This Central City bakery feels like a Swift-style destination through and through, from its off-the-beaten-path location to its charming decor and heartfelt origin story. Kaitlin Guerin’s gorgeous viennoiserie is world-class, representing some of the best New Orleans has to offer. The perfect pain au chocolat is a must-get, but the cardamom bun, seasonal Danishes, and corn muffins are equally impressive, all best washed down with an Africano latte.

This chic Bywater hideout is no stranger to serving celebrities — stars like Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have dined there, among others. The Parisian-inspired bistro, which also draws on Japanese influences, is the perfect mix of mysterious and casual — it would be easy for the couple to stay hidden while also having a blast. We recommend a few plates of veggies, like the roasted beets or grilled bok choy; charcuterie like uni pâté and smoked mackerel; and large plates like the pan-seared Hokkaido scallops and steak au poivre.

The New York Times-lauded pizza tavern in the Lower Garden District has been a hotspot for VIPs since opening in early 2024 — this Eater editor spotted Jude Law dining outside on the sidewalk a few months ago. It’s a great place to grab a satisfying slice at the pizza window on Magazine Street (before checking out Merchant House a few doors down for vintage home decor) or to hole up in a dark corner and dig into a giant meatball.
