Playing with building brick sets like LEGOs is such a relaxing and rewarding hobby. Whether you enjoy the botanical builds or more pop culture sets, LEGOs never seem to be a wasted expense. But what if you could get the fun of LEGO without the price, and honor your favorite budget grocery store while you’re at it? Lucky for you, Aldi is bringing back their fan-favorite brick sets in their latest toy drop.
From Feb. 12 to Feb. 18, Aldi will be selling ALDI Play ALDI Bricks sets for only $6.99 each in the Aldi Finds aisles of local U.S. stores (while supplies last). As we previously reported, these Aldi brick sets also came out this past November. They seemed to be in pretty high demand then, so they’ll likely be a hot commodity again.

ALDI Play ALDI Bricks Store and Truck sets, $6.99 each at Aldi
The Aldi Play brick sets come in two options: an Aldi store set and an Aldi truck set. Each version has 212 pieces that build either a LEGO-style Aldi grocery store or a delivery semi-truck.
These builds are recommended for ages six and up and feature some small pieces, of course. Once finished, you can open the doors to the cab and the back door on the Aldi truck set. The Aldi store set is a facade of an Aldi grocery store and the inside is open so you can build registers and shelves.
Plus, these Aldi Brick builds are just one of several new toys coming on Feb. 12; they’ll also have a food market play set, plushies, shopping sets and more.
LEGO Brand Store Set, $57.33 on Amazon
Again, these Aldi Bricks sets are a lot less expensive than official LEGO sets out there, including ones that are a one-to-one comparison. For example, there’s the LEGO Brand Store Set, which is $57.33 on Amazon. While it has more than half the amount of pieces (541 pieces and two minifigures), it’s a similar concept; you get to make a mini LEGO store in your home. Even down to the fact that you have access to the inside, making it even more of an “active” store.

Yellow Delivery Truck Set, $159 at LEGO; $99.99 on Amazon
Then there’s the LEGO Yellow Delivery Truck Set, which is currently $159 at LEGO or $99.99 on Amazon. It has a whopping total of 1,061 pieces but you’re still building a large semi-truck for the LEGO store (similar to the Aldi delivery truck). This LEGO truck opens on the side, though, plus you get two minifigures.
Even though the ALDI Play ALDI Bricks sets are less complex and detailed than LEGO’s versions, you still get a fun brick-building experience for only $7. If you want a fun activity for your kids, this is a good and affordable option.
