When you think of the Super Bowl, what is the first thing that comes to mind? All of the snacks, hopes for an entertaining (and non-controversial) halftime show and Tom Brady. Brady, often referred to as the G.O.A.T, or “Greatest of All Time,” is arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. No one would have guessed that Brady, a sixth-round draft pick in 2000 (199 overall), would create such hype—but his record speaks for itself.
Now that Brady is really retired, how many Super Bowls has Tom Brady played in? How many Super Bowls has Tom Brady won? Find out exactly how many Super Bowl rings he earned before stepping down.

How Many Super Bowls Has Tom Brady Appeared In?
Winning his first Super Bowl at age 24, Brady has played in nine Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, winning six of them (Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI, LIII). During those nine Super Bowls, Brady won four Super Bowl MVP awards (Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, XLIX, and LI).
Brady’s tenth Super Bowl was Super Bowl LV, but it wasn’t with the Patriots—it was his first Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady led his team to victory on Jan. 24, 2021, defeating the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. As a result of his efforts, Tampa Bay made history as the first team to play in the Super Bowl at their home stadium on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, when they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, securing Brady yet another Super Bowl ring.
Sadly, Brady didn’t make it to the Super Bowl LVI after a loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Jan. 23, 2022. And his surprise 2022-2023 comeback season with the Bucs was, frankly, a complete bust.
