Dusit International and Grand Land Inc. have commenced the construction of ASAI Cebu Oslob, the first ASAI resort in the Philippines. The resort, which is set to open in late 2026 in Barangay Lagunde, Oslob, is a premier coastal destination known for its pristine beaches, whale shark encounters, and rich biodiversity.
ASAI Cebu Oslob, a partnership between Thailand’s Dusit International and Philippine real estate firm, Grand Land Inc., marks ASAI Hotels’ entry into the Philippines and the brand’s first beach resort. The commencement of construction signals a milestone in Dusit’s ongoing expansion in the Philippines, where it already operates five properties.
The resort, located in Barangay Lagunde, Oslob, is planned to open in late 2026. The location is renowned for its pristine beaches, whale shark encounters, and rich biodiversity. The resort aims to cater to modern, millennial-minded travelers, offering 98 compact yet functional rooms, most of which feature private balconies with ocean or pool views.
ASAI Cebu Oslob aims to bring a new level of hospitality to the region, combining modern design with local experiences. This includes the integration of ASAI Hotels’ Eat/Work/Play concept – an open, flexible area designed for dining, socializing, and remote work. The resort will also feature a stylish beach bar serving craft cocktails and local beers, a pool overlooking the beach, and a locally inspired dining experience showcasing the best Cebuano cuisine.
Beyond the resort, guests can immerse themselves in the region’s lush landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant island-hopping experiences. The resort’s community ambassadors will also be on hand to curate personalized itineraries that uncover hidden gems, from secret snorkeling spots to cultural heritage sites.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on 3 February 2025, was attended by key executives from Dusit International and Grand Land Inc., as well as local government officials, who highlighted the project’s positive impact on Oslob’s tourism industry and local economy.
