We’re in for a short week! That means it’s time to fill up our schedules with all the fun things to do in Toronto before the weekend. Thankfully, there’s lots to do in the city and we’ve compiled a list of the best experiences you should check out.

You won’t be left disappointed!

Free Entry at Planet Fitness

Need a new gym? Planet Fitness is offering a free week in celebration of Family Day. That now until Feb. 21, 2025, you can head to any planet fitness location and get a free workout in.

When: Until Feb. 21, 2025

Cost: Free

Twilight Symphony – Broadway to Opera

“Experience live music in a new light with a series of intimate candlelit concerts in one of Toronto’s most magical locations, Casa Loma,” shares organizers.

“Twilight Symphony at the Castle features the Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra, under the artistic direction and baton of Maestro Paolo Busato. Guests will travel the 800ft tunnel below Austin Terrace, to the Carriage Room, for a one-of-a-kind performance bathed in candlelight.”

You don’t want to miss it!

When: Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace
Cost: $75 per ticket

Sweet City Fest

Did somebody say sweet treat? Stackt Markt is hosting a festival for all things sweet. From beautiful art pieces to an array of vendors offering sweet treats, this free fest is family-friendly and awaiting your arrival.

Live entertainment will be on deck, too.

When: Until Feb. 23, 2025

Winter Stations

Winter Stations brings the international design and art community’s creations to Woodbine Beach as the lifeguard stations along Toronto’s east-end beaches change into something beautiful for the winter.

When: Until March 17, 2025
Where: Woodbine Beach

The Retro Arcade

Travel back to a time when video game arcades were a thing and Super Nintendos were the latest in tech. Hotel X has brought back its Retro Arcade with features such as Pinball, Mario Kart, Time Crisis, Street Fighter, Galaga, Dance Dance Revolution, and more. This month-long pop-up returns on Feb. 14, 2025.

On Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., there will be a DJ spinning vinyl tracks, perfect for gaming, snacking, and dancing, of course! You can also catch retro movies in the Hotel X Toronto Screening Room starting at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. from Thursday to Sunday. It’s free with any Retro Arcade ticket.

When: Until March 16, 2025; Monday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Kandy Gallery at Hotel X Toronto – 111 Princes’ Blvd

ILLUMINITE

ILLUMINITE is a celebration of light, art, and togetherness, brought to life through five illuminated art installations in Toronto.

It will span across the Downtown Yonge area, running daily from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. once open to the public. This is the second year that the Downtown Yonge BIA is putting on the event, with this year’s locations including the 777 Bay Plaza, Sankofa Square, College Park and McGill & Granby Parkette.

When: Until March 2, 2025
Where: Multiple locations in downtown Toronto
Cost: Free

KUUMBA30

Celebrating its 30th year, KUUMBA Festival will showcase Black futures through music, theatre, spoken word, screenings and dance, happening all month long.

When: Until Feb. 28, 2025
Where: Multiple venues

Alpina at Eataly

If you can’t hit the slopes anytime soon, this is the next best thing. Eataly on Bloor has a pop-up experience, Alpina, named after “the iconic landscape of the Italian Alps.” This limited-time pop-up will run through March 2025 with stunning decor for photo opportunities and a delicious menu to try.

When: Running until March 2025

Mt. Harriet’s

Head to Harriet’s Rooftop for an Apres Ski experience like no other! Dress in your cutest fit and enjoy themed cocktails and eats.

There’s a live DJ spinning the hottest tracks, setting the mood while you enjoy a view of the CN Tower.

When: Wednesday: 5 p.m. to 11  p.m., Thursday 5  p.m. to 12 a.m., Friday 5 p.m., to 2 a.m., Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., closed Sunday to Tuesday.
Where: 550 Wellington Street, rooftop

The Well public skating

Now until March 18th, 2024, The Well welcomes all to enjoy its public skating rink. Grab your skates or borrow a pair from the Skating Hut and hit the ice. Rental rates for adults are $10 and kids sizes (1 to 13) are $5. All of the rental proceeds support the Out of the Cold Program, according to The Well.

When: Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.,  Friday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m., to 6 p.m.
Where: The Well – Upper Ground
Cost: Free
