Sofitel has recently inaugurated its latest five-star hotel, the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile, in the center of Egypt’s capital city. This new establishment offers a luxurious retreat within easy access to Cairo’s rich history and cultural landmarks.
The Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile sits beside the iconic Nile River, providing guests a gateway to the city’s most prized landmarks. The hotel’s location offers easy access to Downtown Cairo, the lively Tahrir Square, the Cairo Opera House, the Giza Pyramids, the Cairo Citadel medieval fortress, and the Ancient Coptic Quarter with its historic churches.
The hotel features 615 guest rooms and suites spread across 24 floors, each furnished with private balconies offering scenic views of the Nile. The interiors blend Sofitel’s French elegance with Egyptian cultural elements. The rooms have spa-like bathrooms featuring rainfall showers and luxury aromatherapy amenities. The hotel’s 52 suites offer separate living rooms, balconies with panoramic Nile views, and a 24-hour butler service for an enhanced stay. Fitness enthusiasts can also make use of the hotel’s modern fitness center.
Nicolas Gronier, VP Global Marketing for Sofitel, expressed his delight at the hotel’s launch. He highlighted its strategic position overlooking the Nile River and its unique blend of French and Egyptian cultural elements. He also pointed out that it is the largest Sofitel hotel to date.
Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile houses five restaurants and bars that offer a wide range of culinary experiences. From Egyptian-Lebanese cuisine at Jayda Nile Terrace to East Asian dishes at Kamala, and cocktails at Stage One nightclub, the hotel promises an immersive gastronomic journey.
The hotel features a state-of-the-art spa incorporating French and Egyptian wellness traditions for relaxation and wellness. The wellness facilities include a Jacuzzi, saunas, private couples’ rooms, and a 300-square-meter outdoor pool. Guests of the Luxury Club rooms and suites are granted access to Club Millésime, which offers personal concierge butlers and complimentary breakfast, beverages, and delicacies.
The Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile is also well-equipped to host events and business meetings, with 17 meeting and event spaces covering over 185 square meters. The hotel’s ballrooms can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, with comprehensive guest services to aid in planning events.
