Hyatt Centric is set to increase its worldwide footprint by 50 percent by the end of 2028. After significant growth in 2024, which saw the brand open hotels in key cities like Cairo, Shanghai, San José, and Santo Domingo, Hyatt Centric plans to introduce more than 35 new hotels worldwide.
This expansion will boost the brand’s portfolio by 50 percent, reaching over 100 Hyatt Centric hotels globally by 2029. The brand predicts considerable regional growth in the Asia Pacific over the next three years, with an increase of over 75 percent in the brand’s presence. New hotels are also planned across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
Emily Wright, Vice President, Global Brand Leader for Hyatt’s Classics & Essentials Portfolios, stated the Hyatt Centric brand is a valuable addition to their offerings. The recent and planned growth of the brand meets the rising demand for more contemporary accommodations from guests and members, particularly Millennial and Gen Z travelers.
The new Hyatt Centric hotels are designed to reflect the local culture of their locations, with elements of local art, culture, and attractions incorporated into their designs. Notable openings planned include the first Hyatt Centric hotels in Costa Rica, Malta, the Caribbean, and Shanghai.
In the Americas, new hotels are planned for Chicago, San Juan, Querétaro, Cincinnati, and Victoria, each uniquely designed to reflect its location. In Asia Pacific, new openings are scheduled in Bengaluru, Bangalore, Taipei, Shanghai, Changsha, Vrindavan, Chengdu, and Sapporo. In Europe, new openings are slated for Reims, Hamburg, and Reykjavik.
Hyatt Centric hotels offer signature touchpoints and curated programming that spark curiosity and elevate the guest experience. These include locally inspired art, pop-up concerts and gallery exhibitions, buzzy social spaces and unique food and beverage offerings.
