Hilton Hotels has confirmed plans to open three new properties in Athens by 2026, further strengthening its presence in Greece and adding over 500 new rooms to the city’s lifestyle portfolio.
Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced its plans to open three new hotels in Athens, Greece, in partnership with Aluma Greece IKE. The new hotels, Adia Aluma Athens, Curio Collection by Hilton, Anise Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and Skylark Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, are expected to open in 2025 and 2026, adding more than 500 rooms for guests in Athens.
The signings of these franchise agreements will further enhance Hilton’s lifestyle portfolio in Greece. The company’s growth in Greece has significantly accelerated in recent years, reflecting its confidence in the country’s appeal as a leading destination for international travelers.
Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton, expressed his excitement about the company’s expansion in Athens, over 60 years after opening their first hotel in the city. He stated that these developments under the Curio and Tapestry brands represent the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Greek capital.
The three new properties will be located near Omonoia Square, which has seen significant revitalization over the past five years. The Adia Aluma Athens, Curio Collection by Hilton, will offer 215 rooms and amenities, including a restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop bar, wellness facilities, and a fitness studio.
The Skylark Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will feature 191 rooms, a rooftop terrace with a bar and restaurant, a rooftop pool, two meeting rooms, and wellness facilities, including treatment rooms and a gym.
Finally, the Anise Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will introduce Hilton’s Tapestry brand to Evripidou, one of Athens’ liveliest neighbourhoods. The hotel will offer 99 rooms and amenities, including a restaurant, rooftop bar, pool, meeting room, and gym facilities.
All three properties are conveniently located, with strong transport links to Athens International Airport, which is 35km from each hotel.
These forthcoming properties join Hilton’s growing portfolio in Greece, which currently includes 10 trading hotels and the forthcoming Conrad Athens.
