Kempinski Hotels has signed a significant agreement to manage the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence in Munich, Germany, from March 1, 2025. The partnership with HRH Prince Luitpold von Bayern and the Royal Family of Bavaria is a testament to the hotel’s commitment to preserving the property’s rich history.
Kempinski Hotels, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, has announced a landmark agreement to manage the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence in partnership with HRH Prince Luitpold von Bayern and the Royal Family of Bavaria. From March 1, 2025, Kempinski Hotels will manage the private residence exclusively.
The Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence, located at the intersection of city and country, offers the most exclusive accommodation in Munich. The residence spans 836 square meters, spread over three floors. It includes various amenities such as four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three living rooms, a dining room, a kitchen, a fitness room, a meeting space, a home cinema, and a wine cellar. It also features a private garden with a majolica terrace accommodating 100 guests.
Additionally, the residence acts as a showcase for Nymphenburg Porcelain. It includes art objects, animal figures, tableware, and interior details specially made for the guest house. Works by international artists, including Damien Hirst and Nick Knight, are prominently displayed in the residence, offering guests an immersive experience with fine craftsmanship and priceless artwork.
Kempinski’s new role in managing the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence further strengthens its long-standing relationship with the Royal Family of Bavaria. Kempinski Hotels was established in 1897 and currently operates 78 hotels and residences in 32 countries. Its partnership with the Royal Family dates back to 1858, when Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich was built by HRH Prince Luitpold von Bayern’s great-great-grandfather, King Maximilian II.
Reservations for the Royal Residence at Nymphenburg Palace will be available from March 1, 2025. Accommodation includes full access to the villa, daily breakfast, round-trip airport transfers, 24/7 butler service and a chauffeured limousine throughout the stay. The Royal Residence can also be booked for exclusive weddings, private meetings, and events.
Founded in 1747 by Maximilian III, elector of Bavaria, the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory has occupied one of the Cavalier Houses since 1761. Today, Nymphenburg Porcelain is one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in the world, and each item is still crafted by hand.
