Elon Musk recently welcomed his fourth child with Canadian Shivon Zilis.
Zilis, born in Markham, announced the birth of her and Musk’s son, Seldon Lycurgus, on X last Friday.
“Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much ♥️,” reads the post.

The Tesla CEO replied to Zilis’ post with a simple heart emoji. Seldon is his 14th known child across all of his partners.
Zilis, an executive at Musk’s Neuralink, has three other kids with U.S. President Donald Trump’s new senior advisor.

She’s one of three Canadian women who have had children with Musk.
In November 2021, they announced they secretly had twins: a son, Strider, and a daughter, Azure. They were born weeks before Musk and Canadian musician Grimes welcomed their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, in December 2021. The pair had their third child, Arcadia, close to three years later, on Feb. 28, 2024.
As Trump continues to push what even some American citizens are calling “ridiculous rhetoric” of Canada becoming the 51st state, Canadians’ animosity towards members of Trump’s administration grows ever stronger.
Musk has felt the brunt of the hatred, with hundreds of thousands of Canadians signing a parliamentary e-petition calling for his Canadian citizenship to be revoked.
The petition accuses him of “engaging in activities that go against the national interest of Canada.”
The billionaire responded to the petition earlier this week on his X platform, stating that “Canada is not a real country.” Musk has since deleted the post.
Zilis isn’t Musk’s only tie to Canada.
The SpaceX CEO has five surviving children with his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson.
Recently, Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, clapped back at the White House for its 51st state threats against Canada.
Musk was born in South Africa but has Canadian citizenship via his mother, Maye Musk, who is originally from Regina. He also has U.S. and South African citizenship.
Additionally, the SpaceX CEO once worked as a lumberjack in this very “not-real” country.
