Coach and Automotive Apprentice
Salary: $25.72 to $42.89 an hour
Company: TTC
Who Should Apply: You must have completed a grade 12 technical program in automotive technology or have completed an automotive certificate program at a community college.
Also, you must have a valid Ontario G driver’s license and a set of hand tools as required by the TTC.
If you get hired, you’ll be required to complete TTC courses.

General Body Repairperson
Salary: $44.38 an hour, plus a $1.75 an hour skilled trade premium
Company: TTC
Who Should Apply: You must have a valid auto body and collision damage repair certificate (310-B) — normally obtained through grade 12 education — and completed the apprenticeship training program or an equivalent.
Also, you must have:
- a valid Ontario G driver’s license
- communication and interpersonal skills
- attention to detail, accuracy, and safety skills
- knowledge of and experience using computers to input and retrieve vehicle repair and labour reporting information
- a set of hand tools as per the list established by the TTC
You need to be able to pass TTC tests related to the knowledge, theory or practical requirements of the job.

Structure Rehabilitation Vehicle Operator
Salary: $32.26 to $41.91 an hour
Company: TTC
Who Should Apply: You need to have training that’s normally obtained through the completion of a grade 12 technical program or a recognized equivalent.
It’s required that you have experience with and knowledge of concrete and structural steel repairs involving abrasive blast cleaning, layout/placement of reinforcing steel, and use of concrete materials.

Who Should Apply: You need up to three and a half years of experience, which includes one year as a painter’s improver.
Also, a certificate of qualification as a Commercial and Residential Painter and Decorator — normally obtained through grade 12 education and the completion of the apprenticeship training program — is required.
You must have a valid Ontario G driver’s license as well.
If you get hired, you’ll have to pass written and driving tests for the operation of TTC vehicles and forklifts, and become familiar with the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Who Should Apply: You must have practical experience and knowledge of bridge/structure repairs involving abrasive blast cleaning, structural steel repairs/coating, use of concrete, injection grouting and more.
This is normally acquired through 24 months of structural repair experience.
You also need:
- training obtained through the completion of a grade 12 technical program, a recognized equivalent, or 24 months of Structure Rehabilitation Vehicle Operator experience plus an Ontario Secondary School Diploma

- ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions and follow operating and safety regulations
