The TTC plans to shutter two separate stretches of subway on both Line 1 and Line 2 for this entire weekend.
The transit agency has announced that subway service on Line 2 between Woodbine and Kennedy stations will be replaced by shuttle buses starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, March 7. The closure will last throughout the weekend of Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9, returning to service the following Monday morning.
As with previous closures along this stretch of track, the TTC is citing ongoing track work as the reason for the temporary disruption in service.
Throughout the partial Line 2 closure, only Warden Station will be inaccessible to commuters. All other stations along the closed portion will remain open for riders to purchase fares, reload Presto cards and connect to surface routes.
This five-station stretch of Line 2 is just one of the two closures planned for this weekend.

The TTC also plans to shutter service on a 2.75-kilometre stretch of track on Line 1, stretching between St. George and St. Andrew stations, for the entire weekend of Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9, 2025.
It is also attributing this closure to ongoing track work.
The coming disruption is just one of 38 such full-weekend shutdowns announced by the TTC earlier this year.
However, this figure includes multiple closures scheduled for different parts of the network on the same weekend, such as the overlapping outages planned to occur in the coming days.
